This is your child’s yellow homework assignment sheet for Rdg./Lang. Arts/Writing- Lesson 16. Please monitor your child’s progress on IXL. Also Thursday is the last day for late work for 3rd qtr. I cannot take any late work after this Thursday.


We are continuing to also work on cursive handwriting in class.


In this lesson, we will be studying Spelling words that have the air, ear, & are sounds.


Our Comprehension skill this week is Story Structure: name the setting, character, & plot in a story.


Our Comprehension strategy this week is Monitor/Clarify: as we read, we will find ways to “clear up” what may be confusing.

In Grammar, we will be working on Adjectives: describe nouns & tell what kind, how many, & which one.


Vocabulary Strategy: Context Clues: using information in the text (words & phrases) to help us figure out what we do not know.


LATE assignments are lowered 1 letter grade. Words that are capitalized on Spelling tests & Spelling assignments that are NOT proper nouns are marked incorrect.
